What could they have done better?
Ellie has explained various things to us a couple of times and it makes sense at the time but, because we don’t find time to consolidate our understanding, we sometimes lose that understanding. It would be good if Ellie had some simple, no nonsense investment guides she could provide or point us to.
What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for a financial adviser?
Acknowledgement that we weren’t dealing with our finances in a way that would maximise our chances of a comfortable retirement.

She has explained financial options and helped us to understand that, as things stand, we should be in a sufficiently comfortable position for retirement.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
We have seen modest growth in our investments…but for stocks and shares, we are still early doors. My main aim was to understand retirement opportunities and I feel better about that.

What could they have done better?
If I were to be hyper critical I would say that there are rare occasions where it’s difficult to get hold of him. The second area that I would urge them to stay on top of is the speed of implementation having given the advice. I get a sense that that may be due to the AML and KYC demands of Hubwise but the process can sometimes be quite drawn out.

Following a significant change in my financial circumstances I needed an advisor who could look at my affairs holistically
