Jack has been invaluable in advising us on the options and opportunities available to us to financially secure/plan for our retirement based on our personal interests, our circumstances and future aspirations. It’s even more difficult to financially plan under erratic and unstable times so putting trust in an expert is essential. Jack is knowledgable, sincere, patient and professional, having his clients interests at the forefront.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Yes. It’s obviously a concern when markets fall sharply within a short period due to world politics/events, however the communication provided by Jack (and the team at Ilumiti) was timely and sensibly reassuring. The annual reviews are invaluable too to reflect, review and make financial adjustments.

What could they have done better?
It is very difficult to find fault. I found the 'DocuSign' process a bit confusing, but my wife found it quite easy to use. There have been some details I didn't quite understand. This could have been an issue were it not for the fact that Jack is always on hand to answer any questions.
What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for a financial adviser?
My former employer (AWE) is very keen that their staff have their personal pensions reviewed, and in place for their own peace of mind. To this end, their appointed IFA is Informed Pensions (IP). AWE provided the initial link, and they would also pay for the first consultation. At that stage I didn't know what my pension pot would be worth, or whether I would be able to afford early retirement.
How has Jack helped you?
At our initial consultation with Jack Saunders, he talked me and my wife through everything (the processes, forms, documentation, tax implications etc). We told him what we (thought) we needed to live on per month, and we discussed our plans for the future. He guided us through our various options, and then contacted my different pension providers. He then collated all the figures and details, and set up a further meeting to go through his recommendations. During this meeting he told us that, not only could I retire early, but that I could afford it relatively comfortably. He used on screen visual tools which helped illustrate this very clearly. He has subsequently set up and instigated the pension which we have now been receiving monthly for around a year. Jack's on-going help and advice regarding my pension and the related financial issues has been invaluable.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
From a monetary perspective, the outcome has been way better than we'd expected. Jack has stressed to us that the market can go down as well as up, and as of a couple of weeks ago, my pension pot is looking very healthy despite the regular payments paid from it. From my personal perspective, Jack has been extremely easy to deal with, and it is testament to the man that we have found this whole process much easier than I thought it would be.
