What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for a financial adviser?
We were looking to remortgage at the end of a fixed period agreement as our current lenders remortgage rates were high. I was using another broker who did not seem to have the experience to place our particular remortgage requirements in the market. There are only certain lenders who would fund our type of house and this broker didn't seem to have that information. He tried three different lenders over a period of 6-7 weeks. I was recommended by a family member to approach Chris Aubrey to see if he could help.
How has Chris helped you?
From the first conversation Chris understood the issue and immediately mentioned two lenders who he felt would take our case. He further followed this up with a conversation with one of the lenders to check that they were appropriate for our situation and then proceeded with submitting an application. He ensured that all the appropriate paperwork and proofs were in place to ensure the process went smoothly. He kept us appraised of the progress, even when we were getting a little concerned following our previous experiences.
Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?
Absolutely. Chris secured a mortgage for the full amount we were seeking at very competitive market rates with a main high street lender.

We didn't even think we would be eligible for a mortgage, but Saskia has been fantastic at getting us a great mortgage, really quickly and with so little fuss. She has answered big and small questions extremely fast and has been there through every step, being an absolute angel for us! As first time buyers, we have absolutely no idea what we were doing, but Saskia has talked us through everything, explained what all the different steps are and just been generally fantastic!
