What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for a financial adviser?
My previous adviser had been bought out by a consolidator's and they were no longer offering the same level of personal service I was use to or needed.

Having worked in the financial services industry for 38 years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with many people in the profession, so I feel I have a good understanding of what makes a really good financial advisor. When choosing my new advisor, I was looking for someone who was knowledgeable and professional, but equally important, someone I could build a genuine long-term relationship with. I wanted to know that I was putting my finances in the hands of someone I could trust for many years to come, and that the relationship would also give my family continuity and reassurance in the future. I chose Robbie Newton at Chartwell, and I’ve been really impressed. He is friendly, approachable and professional, with an excellent depth of knowledge. He takes the time to listen, explains things clearly and never makes you feel rushed or that any question is too much trouble. I don’t make the decision to work with someone lightly. I’m very happy with my choice of Robbie and have every confidence that I’m in safe hands for the years ahead. I’d have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

I had transferred my company pension to a drawdown, I was looking for an adviser and a good friend recommended Chartwell as he had been impressed by the professionalism of the company.
How has Robert helped you?
Robert explained the options I had when I was initially looking to invest with Chartwell, this advice was clear and and delivered in a way which was I found straightforward and without bias. Over the years he continued to keep me updated on any chances to the investments and explained the effect of the changes.

The investments he suggested have preformed well and I am happy with the return I have received.
