What could they have done better?
Nothing as far as I am concerned.
What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for a financial adviser?
I met Trevor Jackson, who was then a junior financial adviser for a firm in Bristol, some 50 years ago. Since then I stayed with Trevor as he built up his own business and latterly, amalgamated with Amber River. From his early years as a financial adviser Trevor has been a considered adviser taking great care to match his clients with their stated aspirations. I have always had total confidence that Trevor's advice has not only be very well researched but has eschewed passing fashions in the financial world. This tradition has been passed to Jonty who, it seems to me, emulates all the features of Trevor's work practises which attracted me at the outset and have earned my loyalty since.

By providing carefully considered advice in a clear and easily comprehended way and by achieving impressive financial results. I have total confidence that my portfolio is reviewed and considered on a regular basis in an objective and entirely independent way and that annual advice reflects the changes in the financial world over time and are designed to protect my financial security.

My wife and I required investment planning for our retirement and financial advice regarding our savings, including how to reduce our personal tax liability by using all available tax allowances.
