We have been with Cheltenham Independent Financial Advisers for many years, we were initially recommended to them by a friend.

No idea - I have other life experience.
What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for a financial adviser?
Continuance of long-term investment arrangement with FIA, more or less from the introduction of the ISA and PEP systems. As a lifelong dependent on a regular PAYE salary/now pension I have never developed the enthusiasm for personal market speculation, and prefer managing the challenges of the physical world. I therefore need guidance to prevent careless or foolish waste of my hard-earned cash.

Continued monitoring of investments with a sensible assessment of my personal attitude to risk, keeping in mind my situation and circumstances and plans for what future may remain.
